PTSD is one of the struggles that people have that can lead to harmful activity. Our Intervention download provides you, the interventionist, the tools to do an early intervention and get the client to a professional for an assessment.

The military struggle with PTSD issues in many different ways. An example is that the brain (pre-frontal cortex) does not fully develop until after age 25. Therefore, if a person in the military is deployed a number of times before they reach 25, this can have some serious consequences on a person.

The nightly news can be a trigger for some when they see violent things happening on TV and it is replayed over and over again. A technique is to teach people to read the news rather than watch it on TV. The same goes for loud noises. The more we know that someone is suffering with PTSD, the more we can be sensitive to some common issues that are almost standard across the board.

People do not want to go to sleep at night because of nightmares or their axiety level is too high especially between the hours of midnight to three A.M.
The premature death of a person can be avoided if you intervene earlier in their life. An interventionist is key to work with a family who struggles with what to do. Through an early intervention, this is another opportunity to save a life.
